Your thoughts on Aranda staying

Wells he's more than just our DC now. He's assistant head coach. I would think he would stay. Hope he would atleast

I really doubt he goes to UT with Herman. It's a lateral move and he would need to compete against teams that put up lots of yards and points in the Big 12. Not exactly the best place to make a name for yourself, if your short term goal is to be a head coach.

He is highly paid at LSU ($1.3 million), and not sure he wants to move again after just one year at LSU.

My guess is he holds out for a head coaching gig, either after this season or next.

That was a bit of sarcasm... I'd like to see ed do well here if given the opportunity... shite, id like to see anyone do well here

I hope aranda is retained no matter who comes in, and also that if CEO is not kept as head coach, he has enough humility to stay aboard as our d line coach and RC

I would say it depends on his relationship with O. Under Miles, Aranda had control of the D. O will spend the majority of his coaching time working with the D. What does this mean and how will Aranda respond to it is the question.

We are certainly signaling that we want him to stay. The new title means something. Exactly what, I don't know. O has gone out of his way to publicly compliment him and acknowledge his contributions.

Whether he stays or not will depend on his comfort with O, and if he feels the situation will help him achieve his personal goals, whatever they are.
