...and how will the Duke LaCrosse thing (he was AD then) and the current SEC corruption allegations negatively affect Alleva (he might be extremely cautious and over-react, which could be good or bad), if at all?

...will he be able to sift through the mine field and properly select a strong HC to LSU?

...does he know who to trust and lean on to help him select a replacement?

Are you confident?

I would say medium-high. I believe that the program would almost hire itself he just has to make the right phone calls.

Not enough experience with him to know.

What does Alleva have to do with it?

Medium - his one hire is not turning out too well, but at the same time it is not as though LSU has a basketball history, like say a Kentucky, that would promote a quick turn around.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt right now.

I think A. Moss put it the best (SIAP). I'm more afraid of what we will get from LSU Admin. than of Miles leaving.

It won't just be Alleva doing the search/vetting. That said, I wish Mark Emmert were back.

I'm medium-high. We're in a different situation than with Saban.

Low. With all this Miles to Michigan talk I would think he would be contacting the coach in Boise and the coach in Ft. Worth.

I don't know that he hasn't but it seems the ball is in Mile's court with no action being taken by Alleva.

low if alleva doesnt get help.

fwiw he could be meeting with others. He wouldn't want that published right now because we currently still have a coach. now if alleva is just playing with his balls while miles strings this out then we have major issues.

Low but it has more to do with the legit candidates that are available than it does with Alleva himself. If he can't get his top target it will be tough for him to get a strong head coach.

Two 5-50 HCs hired at Duke..and the rumored Bo P as #1 target.. = LOW CONFIDENCE IN ALLEVA.

And originally I had high hopes for the former QB to do it right if/when the time came one day, in putting his own stamp on LSU.

But, if Alleva is letting TAF guys and LSU Ath-Dept guys steer him towards Bo P..it doesn't look good at all.

Shouldnt we wait to Judge Alleva until after he actually hires a coach
