Um, fire a coach during the season and name the interim a coach that has some HC experience? Sounds like a plan to me thus allowing a true head coach search for a proven HC, not within the program and without media interference. Lock up your guy before season's end and name him after the dust settles. No butt grabbing here, just some premeditation.

OK, you don't have to. I'm not upset. I guess they also didn't anticipate that he would be loved by the fans because of the local connections at a time when the athletic department was having image issues due to the debacle of firing les.... That was purely circumstantial as well?

I love O. Everybody loves O. I just don't want him to be the head coach at LSU.
I don't think nearly as many fans would pick O over Fisher or Herman as you think.
