Because we haven't signed an OC, not sure if Aranda is signed, was suppose to tear up recruiting this week and it's been almost silent, may have lost our superstar QB recruit.

Those things alone gives people reason to worry..

They'll never admit anything. There's going to be excuses forever, regardless of outcome.

Yeah you remember what happened at USCw those couple of years? O is apparently trying to bring all that to LSU.

Oh shite, I probably won't be able to sleep for weeks now. Not only a COUSIN but a OLE MISS fan. Double whammy on this one.

When does an Ole Miss cousin know anything about coaches that don't get their program close to being on the death penalty from the NCAA? Did he mention that Ole Miss always sucks when the coach isn't blatantly cheating?

Herman is highly regarded by most of college football because he's improved his teams.

Herman has had ONE team. He did not improve it. He got worse in his second season and wound up 6th in his conference. FACT !!!

You really can't compare coaching Ole Miss in the SEC 10 years ago, USC in 2013 and LSU in 2016 to being the coach of the Houston Cougars for 2 whole years.

Orgeron would have been hired by no one else, because his head coaching record is abysmal. Even Syracuse level programs have no interest.

When was Syracuse? You actually think that after leading USC to a 6-2 record taking over for a guy who had just gone 4-7 and leading LSU to a 5-2 record. maybe 6-2 with a bowl win, while his only losses were to the #1 and #23 teams in the country wouldn't have had some teams looking at O?

Yes you can. While at Houston, his team beat OU - top 10 team and FSU a top 15 team. How many of those wins has O had with the talent he had at USC and LSU?

He has a better resume with less talent.

So CEO taking over a team in the fifth game of the season and only having two losses (with one coming to the #1 team in the county) had nothing to do with the hire?

But people want to hire a guy who went 4-3 his last seven and finished 6th in his conference and on top of that pay him as much or more than Nick Saban.

What do you mean?

Houston went 13-1 in his first year. Houston was a cumulative 21-17 in their prior three years. This year's record of 9-3 isn't as good as his first year but better than any of the individual three years prior to his arrival.

Well 22-4 is good, but it's no 22-29.

You could just say I am right and you are wrong. But personal insults are the same exact thing as saying it aren't they?

You are hoping LSU fails and I am hoping LSU continues to succeed. No need for personal insults. It is what it is, and you are what you are.

Why, do you get all of your amazing(sarcasm insert here) football acumen from Ole Miss fans also?

People would be happy to be wrong. Seeing LSU be as good as they were between 2001 and 2012 would be pretty great.

Fans are mad because our favorite school is being run in an incompetent manner. The athletic director conducted no proper search and the result was a hire that would have any serious fanbase a mixture of enraged and discouraged. It seems clear Alleva didn't even bother to read up on Orgeron's history from his positive reaction to the binder (clearly never read Meat Market).

If you are a real football program you don't hire a coach who will be hugely dependent upon great coordinators to succeed. A coach who has a cumulative losing record. A coach whose recent "good stints" as interim resulted in losing records to ranked opponents. A coach who just has never demonstrated the ability to build or sustain a great college football program.
