It won’t be Mel Tucker.
What year did MT coach at LSU?
Who did he coach that year as a DB?
Who was the loudest critic of EO during the George Floyd issue?
Who has been on Moscona’s show 30 plus times ?
One guy is pushing MT and dropping his name to MM. if you can figure out the answers to the above , then you know who. Woody didn’t pay O 17 million dollars to NOT coach LSU in order to hire an unproven commodity. MT may end up being a great coach, but Woody won’t bet his legacy on an unproven coach. Tate and Woody will be run out of town in 2024/25 if they hire MT and three mediocre seasons follow thereafter.

If Mel Tucker has continued success he'll be on the Bama shortlist. Saban was very instrumental in Mel leaving Colorado for Michigan State.

Unless Tucker goes 3-1 vs Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan and Purdue, I see his name cooling off.
Right now he’s a top 10 coach who is black. If they lose 3-4 of those games he’s just a black coach.
We can’t afford to hire just a coach, and Tate is smart enough to know doing a bad football hire is the fastest way to get shitcanned.
JBE is Governor for 2 more years, and the next Governor will be a Republican.

I hate the idea of hiring Tucker, but multiple proven insiders have said Tucker immediately when asked for names. It could be a huge misdirection, but you have no credibility to speak in absolutes about this.

Yep... you are exactly right... Makes total sense now. It isnt Tucker. One person is pushing this. I didnt think about looking back at who he coached at LSU.
