Love coach o for what he does but you need an offensive mind as HC

Lsu will always have a good defense. We need a QB developer/elite play caller

not with this Oline and QB...it's what happens when all you do is recruit DB's, WR's, and RB's

he wouldn't put points up before developing a good qb.

He would've definitely made some HT adjustments to get some points.

The only coaching hire that would really excite me would be Herman. Of course I don't have a crystal ball, and my being excited means exactly shite.

LSU needs to be done with pro style offenses. Pure spread is the only way to beat Bama

not just bama we need to get with the times.

our athletes in a modern day spread would destroy.

we need someone who is a proven offensive success in the worst way possible.

This isn't just about talent. There is plenty of talent there. This about an overrated OL coach, horribly predictable scheme, and a runner that still has Les Miles in his head.

One thing that was clear with Les was that when you run the ball, you run the play called, even if it is completely shut down. Fournette has continued to do just that until he has no choice and thus doesn't trust his vision enough (and he has it).

If people really thought LSU could erase the stench of Les Miles in a few weeks, they were greatly mistaken.

Good offensive coaches/play callers can scheme and call around their weaknesses. If you think FSU or OSU's OLines were better than this OLine when Herman beat them and Fisher beat them then you don't pay attention. Good coaching can make call to a team strengths and hide their weaknesses. You think Ole Miss's OLine was better or Arky's was better? They both put up 30 on the same defense LSU put up a big goose egg on this year.

He absolutely would have put up points

So would Herman

I also believe Harris would be the starter under them with way more confidence than he has and be a much more efficient college qb

Not a knock of Etling

As I stated

I believe Harris would start for him and at least be serviceable

Yup

Which is why LSU DESPERATELY needs an x and o's HC

Not another lovable coach figure known mostly for coaching the line

I doubt it. He is getting Francois killed by keeping him in the pocket. He wouldn't run him more if you put a gun to his head.

Jimbo has done a terrible job the last 3 seasons getting the offense ready to play.
