Tulane is really the one that fricked up when they let him walk in his prime once Bowden left.

All because they didn't want to look for another coach in 1-2 years once the WV job opened up.

Different times then, philosophically speaking. Now schools in Tulane’s orbit sort of expect successful coaches to get poached.

Yeah I understand that. Boise St kinda was the mid major that accepted it and just kept the machine going....had Peterson stay for a while.

I attended the Louisville (Chris Redman at QB) game in the Dome in 98. Tulane was a damn good team and iirc dominated that game.

Tulane had to have a goal line stand to win the game (I think Tulane knocked down a potential game winning pass). I think Tulane won 26-22.

Just looked… 28-22 and Redman had around 477 yards passing. Louisville rallied late to make it a game, but Tulane was a well rounded team and withstood the passing attack of Louisville.

Louisville had a first year OC named Bobby Petrino. Coaches in that game were John L. Smith and Petrino, Bowden and Rodriguez… not bad!

Think how different college football would be if he took the Alabama job.

Les Miles can imagine it in perfect detail.

RR addressing the team. WVU has needed this attitude for over a decade Holgorsen and Brown were so laid back.
