It were only for a year, Hugh Freeze is brought on staff in some fashion, and would be promoted to OC next year.

It would not matter by then. 2018 is a gauntlet and we need more than Steve Ensminger to be able to produce lots of points to contend in these games. 2019 we will see a new staff and possibly new admin.

Why wait a year? So a year of running whatever the frick Steve runs and then switch over to his offense ? Three offenses in three years should be great for Brennan’s developmentv

If you hire Freeze as an OC this year, you will catch a lot of shite from media and fans. If you hire him as say "special teams coach", nobody is gonna say shite. Then, when you promote him next year, nobody can say shite about it BECAUSE HE WAS ALREADY ON STAFF and if anyone did say something they would look stupid for NOT saying something the year before.
You can't name 3 special teams coaches in the SEC without google. Guaranteed!

I agree. I DGAF if they hired Art Briles. I'm just pointing out that a lot of people have an issue with Freeze (even though NONE of what happened at Ole Miss was his orchestration) and there WOULD be backlash if he were hired as OC this year.
I don't care who they hire. The only qualification I want is "can he get us a national championship).
