There’s no way you can say Napier is a clear cut better choice than Lane
There's no way you can say ANYONE, other than Saban, is the best or better choice.

There is no clear cut best out there other than that one fricking devil midget. No one.

It will all be a crapshoot.

- Will the offensive/defensive genius be so ego driven where he can't find good help on his side of the ball?

- Will the great X&O strategist be able to recruit?

- Will the great recruiter have an idea of how to game plan?

For every strength there is a weakness. SW's job is to find the strength we need the most, the one thing that will have the biggest impact on the entire program.... and then, and only then, find the guy who's weaknesses are less weaker than the other guy.

Maximize the strength, minimize the weaknesses.

Yes, if his other option is a guy who is having his first winning season and his defense is as bad as LSU's

Nice share. Everyone, but the illustrious Curley, had a better record during their LSU tenure.

Yeah but Curley had the best record prior to coming to LSU. Arnsparger had the worst.

Record is important but not the ultimate determining factor IMO. I do think that is different now than it was back in Arnsparger days and Arnsparger had NFL only HC experience and not much of that

This would be an incredible achievement, but it’s not going to happen.

Considering the fact the last two coaches before Orgeron did the same thing doesn't make him special. Losing to Troy in 2017, Getting blanked by Bama twice in his first three years and a .500 record in 2020 was special. 2021 will even be more special! Toast to Zero!

Tom Herman at .711 would be the most winning coach that LSU has ever hired.
