He could probably do well at fund raising with his charisma and good heartedness (serious). Id be concerned about his hiring of coaches though.

An AD wears many hats. In the arena of being a people person, fundraiser and face at the top...I think he'd do fine and possibly very well.
In the arena of having to hire and fire coaches, answer tough questions Im not sure he's cut for it. At the same time, Skip did it and when I compare the backgrounds of the two..Miles is probably more prepared for the role.

Yes. He has economics degree and been running billion dollar business for 12 years. More importantly, it would lock him up from recruiting against us in Louisiana like he will if he goes to coach O-line at Michigan or special teams coach for Bama as an example.

Harbaugh is gonna offer him some Mickey Mouse role in the hopes of him bringing his recruits. Les gets his foot in the door at UT, in case Harbaugh leaves.

quote:I tend to agree. Although, as I think about it, he was able to land some very highly touted assistants and coordinators while he was here. (He handcuffed them so they didn't flourish, but nonetheless he got them here). Maybe he'd be ok at hiring coaches after all.

Or how about firing coaches. I don't think he fired one coach will he was here without giving them a mile of rope first.
