I have actually seen Jeff Grimes ranked in the top 5-7 range for OCs upon a couple of different websites. I believe his last season at BYU they finished in the top 15 nationally in 10 categories, including 1st in yards per play.

I like Grimes but wouldn’t the OL coach be redundant?

I also like Briles but agree he’s a bit overrated. He isn’t as good a playcaller as his dad.

I think Grimes and Briles are similar in the fact that they are run first spread. People here want to throw it like 2019, but Burrow was so special. Just look at Bama how they have struggled with no run game. We produce quality in state RBs, no reason not to use it to our advantage in a modern RPO system.

He didn't coach the Oline at Baylor this year, he worked with the tight ends, they could make it work.

Isn’t Grimes suing LSU or has that been settled?

I believe you are thinking of James Cregg.

I like grimes offense way more that briles offense.

Way more creative design and better play caller.
