I have actually seen Jeff Grimes ranked in the top 5-7 range for OCs upon a couple of different websites. I believe his last season at BYU they finished in the top 15 nationally in 10 categories, including 1st in yards per play.

To me he seems like a better candidate than the guy everyone on here jizzes over, briles

I like Grimes but wouldn’t the OL coach be redundant?
I also like Briles but agree he’s a bit overrated. He isn’t as good a playcaller as his dad.

Fair point with davis being oline coach.
But grimes does coach tight ends at baylor. So i wouldnt rule it out

I think Grimes and Briles are similar in the fact that they are run first spread. People here want to throw it like 2019, but Burrow was so special. Just look at Bama how they have struggled with no run game. We produce quality in state RBs, no reason not to use it to our advantage in a modern RPO system.

He probably should be. But not sure he fits what bk wants. We would need a dedicated qb coach. He could do te

He didn't coach the Oline at Baylor this year, he worked with the tight ends, they could make it work.

Grimes would be a solid hire.

Isn’t Grimes suing LSU or has that been settled?

I like grimes offense way more that briles offense.
