LSU needed to clean house. Landrys style not the best but from the DEI the shootings on campus the dropping of standards and the football debacle a house cleaning was in order. I don’t think people realize how bad JBE was for LSU. Would it have been better for a more polished GOP governor to do it Yes but not sure they would have had the guts to do it

you sir...have lost your mind.

Question...
How has this
quote:

screwing up LSU football.

??

Both Kelly and Woodward (whom most on the Rant fired before this happened) screwed themselves...

One for losing too many games and the other for firing the coach without approval.

Somebody had to take charge...

They could hire Jesus Christ as the next HFC and I am not sure Landry gets reelected.

If LSU football wasn't already screwed up, Kelly would still be the coach.

I tell you what, if we have coach next year that doesn’t have a team that can rush for more than 20 yards a game I’ll agree with you. But I’m not sitting here letting what that idiot says on tv get me all bent out of shape over next season and the future of LSU when it hasn’t happened yet.

I agree in theory. Winning cures all and if Ed Orgeron can put together the greatest team to ever step on a college field, then some of this is overblown but let’s not pretend that winning in the sec is easy and whether anyone wants to admit it, this is a shite show. I’m very curious to see how they recover and move forward but There isn’t much about this situation that can be spun into a positive.

You sound like someone who just repeats whatever the talking heads say on TV. A local media guy said LSU is “in crisis” and folks just ran with it. That couldn’t be further from reality. All this drama with contracts and “leadership” isn’t exposing LSU — it’s exposing how many people in higher ed are just collecting checks and pretending to matter. A lot of these so-called leaders are nothing more than placeholders with fancy titles and no real skill set. LSU isn’t collapsing. LSU is cleaning house. And when the dust settles, we’ll look back and say Landry and LSU were the ones who brought some common-sense accountability back into college athletics spending. This isn’t a crisis — it’s a reset. And the ones panicking the loudest are the ones who benefited most from the old system.

You sound like stupid arse Landry. I didn’t create the situation nor am I exaggerating it. Lmao at common sense and accountability. Good lord is this Jeff Landry’s fricking wife. That is the dumbest thing iver heard anyone say on this topic and no this isn’t geopolitics or nuclear war. It’s fricking football you silly arse but we are here talking about LSU football not You sound like someone who just repeats whatever the talking heads say on TV. A local media guy said LSU is “in crisis” and folks just ran with it. That couldn’t be further from reality.

Lmao is this landrys wife???!’ You sound like a fricking shill. I didn’t create this situation and I’m not exaggerating it. It’s what it is. Some of it is perception based but it’s absolutely an embarrassment. It’s not fricking geopolitics or nuclear war. No one said it was. We are on an LSU website where people talk about LSU football. Our stupid coonass wanna be governor has made a complete fool of himself. You come on here and write a fricking essay telling us how we it’s all drama. You sound completely retarded within the context of what we were all here to talk about. Maybe take a few plays off

At the expense of his current job possibly? How realistic is the possibility that he loses a ton of support because of this…..I guess that depends on how it shakes out. I think the Woodward firing was unwise and a step too far and it proved that this was personal and political. He’s a petty thin skinned coonass

If a home run hire is made, he gets another term. That is sad.

Who’s gonna beat him?

I’ll wait …. because whatever “name” y’all come up with better show up with $15-20M…otherwise, stay on the porch.

And if you think raising that kind of money is easy against a sitting incumbent (any sitting incumbent) tells me you don’t know anything about real politics.

I think Liz Murril will be next governor but not until Landry finishes 2 terms. I don’t see another Republican challenging him in 2027 it is too expensive and risky and there are no sane Democrats left maybe JBE will run but he was a disaster and his star has faded I guess Graves could run but he is a RINO who back stabbed Scalise so his career is likely over

Absolutely! Cannot wait for 2 years to come and vote. His arse out of office did not vote for him in the primary. I did vote for him against Sean Wilson. Thought Landry had a better plan but man this dude is a freaking buffoon in every even Edwin Edwards was better than this. Douche
