I’ve been hearing that AD Bryan Maggard already has his top target in negotiations.

Louisiana Ragin Cajuns next HC will be Pete Golding.

Is Napier to FL a pretty sure thing?

I'd like to see Rebowe get a shot. I like what he's done at Nicholls.

I don’t think Napier is a done deal to UF

Can I interest you in a newly unemployed, national championship-winning coach from south Louisiana?

I would laugh my arse off if O took the job at UL and built them into a real rival of LSU.

Orgeron doesn’t get an interview with UL.

100% he held a team meeting yesterday to let them know. He will coach through the SBC Championship game then leave for Gainesville.

Maggard will go young on HC... He wants to establish UL as another 2000s Boise St. or Houston. If you can't keep the top coaches, you at least want to be the school that is seen as a stepping stone. UL has the same advantage that LSU has in recruiting Louisiana; Even the scraps are good players.

Why wouldn't y'all try to hire Herman or Mullen?

Like a poster earlier in the thread has stated, Maggard has a blue print to follow. The next coach will likely have a similar career path as Billy Napier has had.

Rumored top candidates are:

Bama DC Pete Golding
NYG OL Rob Sale
Arkansas OC Kendal Briles
Baylor DC Ron Roberts (not likely he doesn’t like being a HC)

There are other names, but the top two are Golding and Sale.

I’m a former Cajun football and track athlete. Kinda tuned into what goes on there.
