The fact Freeze even bothered attempting to engage with her in the first place is a room temperature IQ-type move, and the people rationalizing for him are hilarious for all the wrong reasons...

It does seem peculiar that certain overly vocal fans are willing to die on a hill for Freeze, while at the same time there's nothing but crickets elsewhere, lol... frick millions of dollars, he should be offered $15/hr and like it.

It's similar as in we were looking for our 4th coach in 6 years. I believe it scared some coaches away at that time. Just my opinion.

There may be some similarities but two of AU's last four have been solid hires (Tubs and Gus) and two were duds (Chizik and Harsin). And yet Chizik won a natty and Gus almost did.

Bama had a parade of misfits between Bryant and Nick (Perkins, Curry, Stallings, DuBose, Price, Franchione, Shula). Stallings (class act) won a natty and I think Curry and DuBose won SECs. That's a 25 year span of mostly meh and dysfunction. AU ain't there yet.
