LSU and USC have bigger fish to fry but the ripples of the coaching carousel could open up a mid major g5 type of school that would be lucky to have Herman imo. He was successful at Houston and sark is showing Texas is a graveyard for just about any coach. If fickell leaves cincy Herman should be on their short list

Eastern Washington Community College.

I'd take a punt on him if I were Purdue or something

Cincinnati’s first call would be to Marcus Freeman.

More likely options:

UTSA - Traylor will likely end up at Texas Tech
Memphis - should it come open. Ryan Silverfield’s seat is getting warmer and warmer with each loss
SMU - if Dykes left. I don’t see him leaving though.
USF - talent rich state, I think Herman would recruit well in FL…but the roster is really bad right now
Fresno State - I could see DeBoer getting another job. Cal? Something like that.

Needless to say, I think he needs to go G5 (current) and I don’t see many P5 schools that would hire him this season.

i think teams like vandy and scar got screwed by texas flip flopping on firing herman.

could see him at any program outside the top 10 or so programs that'll be getting a new hfc.

maybe vtech or cal if they have an opening.

pennst would be money if franklin leaves, but kissing players would be an even worse look than it already is.

lol...maybe ULL. Can you imagine. He spurns LSU and then 5 years later he's at LSU's little brother.

The boards opinion of a guy who is 76-26 (74.5%) is a clear indication of the worth of most opinions here.

He coaches 6 seasons total. 2 at UH, 4 at Texas. 6 bowl invitations. Coached in 5. Won them all. 4 Bowl wins at UT. Previous UT bowl win was 2012.

Biggest negative, kisses his players,

Just icky, gross, faggie, metrosexual, whatever you want to call it. Uhhh. Serious questions about Herman's intestinal fortitude abounded around UT backers. Not the big time hire that was envisioned.
