No idea if it's true or not, but there's rumors that Pete K wanted to get back out West somewhere. That's about the only thing that makes sense is if it was mutual.

I wonder if he goes to USC if Lynn leaves.

Not sure he would be a fit in LA. I could see him just taking a job in a place where he can go hunting and fishing outside of work. I don't think he's driven by the paycheck. Maybe like a Utah or WSU where he can live a quieter life.

Word out of Austin is that Pete Kwiatkowski‘s background is with the defensive front seven. He knows how to coach the DL and LBers, but he needs the right fit on his staff to coach DBs for his defenses to work.

Instead of overhauling the DB coaching staff for the second year in a row and trying to find the right fit for Kwiatkoski’s defense, he reached out to Muschamp to see if he was interested.

Muschamp showed interest, so Sark fired PK.

I sat next to him on a flight from Atlanta to Panama City. I had no idea who he was at the time. He wasn’t wearing any Georgia gear.

He drank four mimosas on a 35 minute flight at 2:30 on a Wednesday while watching third down blitz packages from NFL teams on his iPad. Granted I was flying home from my work trip and he was maybe headed to a vacation. So probably not as weird as it seemed at the time.

I am 42, but I thought to myself man this guy looks really young. He was also dressed very sloppily. I had made up a story in my mind that he must be an analyst or advanced scout for the Cleveland Browns or something.

When we were getting off the plane, I noticed his name tag on his bag so I looked him up and realized he was the Georgia DC.

Definitely would not have guessed that. We talked briefly when we were sitting down. From his general demeanor and behavior, he doesn’t strike me as a head coach.

A few nuggets from a Texas pod that just dropped

1. Sark wanted Muschamp from the beginning when he was hired but Boom wanted to lay low and watch his kids

2. PK had discussed moving on many times and getting closer to family out west. There were rumors he was leaving after the 24 season

3. PK was a great DC, but he focused on the front 7 and they have had tons of issues in the secondary. Sark has told people he needs more focus on the secondary after getting pushed in 3x against UGA and Ohio State.

4. PK was the silent type and many inside the program felt the defense was soft and took games off and they wanted more of an aggressive style

PK getting fired is a weird move and he's a great DC
Boom is a great DC that will add some fire to the program

Both statements can be true. Its funny people think they immediately turn to shite. They will be fine.

Podcast also said many more moves coming

What was wrong with the defense that it needed an overhaul? It was still 11th ranked in the country per the metrics on the previous page. I'd be shocked if the offense was ranked in the top 30.

This is the most retarded thing I could’ve possibly read. Coach you did good, top 11 D but you know what? We need a loud jackass that’s been out of coaching to get us right. Clown show.

Hey Lane, maybe give Pete a call and see if he's interested in being the LSU Defensive Line Coach.

So, Sark hired the interim coach that will fill in for him?
Les did this with Ogeron.
