Well maybe you will learn he was a little better than you think.
Exhibit A: 2009 season

By no means do I think McElroy will do as well as JPW did. I'm just saying that JPW didn't do all that much in our games.

What about star Jackson?
Does he have a shot at starting?

Not at the beginning of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in some alternative packages, but don't look for him to take more than 10 snaps in a game unless he's in mop up duty.
McElroy put up outstanding numbers at Southlake-Carrol and what little I've seen of him leads me to believe his mechanics and accuracy are better than JPW's, but playing in a big game can change all that.

Just because he is happy at Bama does not mean he wouldn't leave for another job. Especially for a head job.

A little bird told me Gottfried fricked a KD. Apparently someone at Gallette's has a tape of some sort (audio).

Mebbe that will get him canned finally. Hate to say it, but I really don't care either way, basketball to me is just a crappy sport, have never liked it, wouldn't hurt me if we didn't have it. But I know it's considered one of the big 3, so hopefully, they will do what they shoulda done awhile back and can him.

it's pretty well known Saban is a real dick, esp. to his assistants, who usu. only stay a year or two w/ him, b/c they can't stand him.
Posted on 12/27/08 at 12:06 pm to BamaMike
best situation in the country? Hardly, few assistants stay with Nick very long. He is notorious for being very hard to work for. Why would he stay if he has a chance to become a HC?

It use to be, work with him a few years, pad your resume and move on.

Hes made some retire and some come out of retirement.
Hes also made some want to retire.

See Pete Jenkins, Lionel Turner, Junior Seau, want more?

According to Dolphins veteran lineman, Keith Traylor, he would have retired if Saban returned to Miami. To quote, "If the regime had stayed the same, I wouldn't have come back. You just didn't want to hear it. I can't talk to you that way, don't talk to me that way. We're grown men. We get paid just the same."[20] Fellow Dolphin's defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday echoed Traylor's remarks. "There's not as much yelling and screaming on the field [now]," Holliday said. "There's a sense of a little more relaxed atmosphere and going about business, and I think it's great."
He did bring a friend of mine out of retirement.

He will not get the job. D. Walker will be the new HC at NMS.
