leave the best coaching situation in the country? Working for Saban, top recruits (including RR), and unlimited resources.
Plus, we've got Star at QB next season!!
No way McElwain goes to NMST!! I'll eat my hat if that happens!

He'll be ROLLING WITH THE TIIIIIIDE!
That's pretty much what you were thinking isn't it?
ETA: And you're shitting yourself if you think Saban will start a RSF over a Senior.

Who are you trying to convince?

Working for Saban isn't fun.
I can say with personal knowledge that Coach McElwain is having a great time in Tuscaloosa. He declined an interview with NMSU anyway, but don't expect him to leave for a while.

Saban is not fun to work for...There are a good 10 other teams in the country that can claim the same access to recruits and facilities. Get over yourself.

working for Saban - not fun
RR - even the most delusional Gumps know that isn't happening
unlimited resources - that's what happens when you don't put any money into your academic institution and spend it all on football. That being said, there are still other schools with more resources than Bama.

Answered your own question. Imagine that?
RR ain't going to Bama to split 9 TD's a year with Julio.

Oh but why not? Julio got to show off his 'electrifying potential' by run blocking 75% of the time. What WR wouldn't want that?

Ignorant statement.

I don't think he will go to Alabama, but I would refrain from calling someone delusional just because they believe we have a shot with Randle.
Other than that, you're right. Coach Saban isn;t fun to work for, and a WR won't shine under Saban.
That being said, I reiterate that Coach McElwain is extremely happy in Tuscaloosa and so is his family.

I don't know exactly where he lives, but I know he spends most of his time on Lake Tuscaloosa and Northport/North River. Those aren't the worst of places to be.

If McElwain is smart he will hold off and take the Auburn job in a couple of years when they fire Chizik. coach Dye went from Alabama to the slums and it worked out pretty good for him.

I didnt know that McElwain was coaching at Oklahoma.

Obviously you've never met Nick. I make my observations from personal experience. You are obviously deluded.

Did it ever occur to you that it probably isn't the best coaching situation in the country. Only you gumps think it really is.

It will come to a head in about 2 years (if Saban hangs around that long). When he left LSU most coaches were looking and a good number of players (some very good ones) were wanting to leave.

That is part of the problem.
Saban has always chewed up assistants, he is a great coach, but he must be a SOB to work for.
