I've been hearing this line thrown around in reference to how LSU treated Miles. This is absolutely absurd. How many SEC coaches do you know of that get a chance to coach at the same school for 12 years? This is the first time LSU has fired a head coach since 1999. Compare that to a place like USC, Miami, or Auburn where they barely let a guy decorate his office before they're showing him the door. Gus Malzahn took his team to the national championship 3 seasons ago in his first year after finishing 0-8 the year before and he's now on the brink of losing his job.

Frick off with this argument

Yeah I wish somebody would treat me to $5 million a year for 12 years.

If a coach doesn't think he's going to come in here and be the best we've ever had, I don't want him.

How many people would keep their jobs after repeatedly disregarding the requests for change from people signing their pay checks? It's one thing to do it your way if it's working, it's quite another when you fail.

Miles was given every opportunity to right the the ship and bring this program into the 21st century...and he blatantly lied to the hand that fed him..his arrogance was unbelievable and now that he's gone people want to shower him with platitudes...screw him

Wasn't Miles the "Dean of SEC coaches"? How many millions is he leaving BR with?

I wish I was treated so poorly at my job.

The next guy is making $5.5 million minimum or LSU screwed up the hire.

Alabama had 4 coaches in the 10 years before Saban. They fired 3 of them, and one of them left for a crappy A&M team.

You sir are correct. Miles was paid elite coaching money and given multiple chances to shake things up. Great man and appreciate his efforts but change is needed.
