It's taking time because they had no back-up plan after Nielsen and have had to make one.

This too funny. This narrative is completely made up by the rant from the same people who bitched when O was running his mouth about candidates to the media. So now he shuts up and that means, according to the experts on here, he has no back up plan, even though people here have linked where LSU has reached out to guys like Schumann recently.

you're right, this is clearly all been part of the plan.

The plan was definitely not to interview anyone, but to wait until after Nielsen said no to start reaching out to other people.

Be patient. The storm is coming.

Calm down Francis. You clearly seem to be dating someone on the staff, or otherwise, I don't really understand how you could be that angry about the notion that Ed and Derek are making this up as they go.

And just for the record, since we don't work for the LSU Athletic department, all of the narratives here are "completely made up"

If by completely made up you mean informed by watching Ed Orgeron replace coordinators since taking this job in 2016.

Washington with the Bills would be a great hire but unless the Bills win the Super Bowl why go unless he's hell bent on a DC job? The Bills are set up to contend for the near future. A chance to win the SB doesn't come along that often. And don't throw New England's coaches into it. That's a once in a lifetime dynasty.
That being said---I could see Patricia come in here and kick boutte.

Nielsen decided to not go to a place where 2 out of 3 people couldn’t spell his name correctly.

Yeah if you have a serious candidate and you're working on finalizing a contract do you really think they were also interviewing other people while working out the new guys contract details?

My point was that they have a list of guys. They had Freeman and Nielsen at the top of their list. They said no or couldn't get out of their contract. OK. So then you take that information and assume they are just making it all up now with no back up plan. Seems like a fairly big leap considering LSU is continuing to reach out to coaches.

Go through my post history in 2016 and tell me how much I love O and his fat boy side kick. I don't. That's why it's ridiculous that someone like me, who never wanted the guy hired, has to even point out how absurd the shitting on O is right now. Why don't we let it all play out first and see who we get before jumping to conclusions no one has any idea what they're doing.

Not true at all. Like I said this is made up because there are articles of lsu reaching out to other coaches already yet you and others keep saying there's no back up plan which is clearly not true.

Yeah actually if you just take the past and apply it to the future without doing any actual research of what's going on with the search right now, then I would say that's made up.

I won't defend any of O's shitty hires in the past just like I won't discount the good one(s).

Again, I am just tired of people claiming O doesn't have any idea who to pick after Nielsen didn't work out when that's obviously not true. We missed on our first two guys, which sucks, but neither was on LSU. So now we go to the next person on the list, which seems to be Schumann. Let's see who we end up with before starting a narrative no one has a clue what they're doing. Wouldn't that be reasonable, or am I just play checkers while you're playing chess?

All well put. I'd sign on to your bill as a co-sponsor.

Well...we did that last year and ended up with a joke defense. So no, I don't think that narrative is premature.

quote:

Our coordinators left, we then went from 15-0 to 5-5. Now, the very next year, we have to get new coordinators, not because they left, but because they were so bad at their jobs that O was forced to fire them to save his own job.

Shitting on O's ability to hire coordinators is perfectly reasonable.

And clearly relevant since obviously we are completely dependent on the coordinators.

quote:

O has made one good hire. He has made 3 bad ones.

I'm good.

If you are happy with the way that Ed and the staff are conducting this search, good for you.

But there's nothing absurd about calling it a cluster.

I'm not gonna go through the rest of what you said, but can you tell me how a search should go, from your point of view?

You lost all credibility when you listed that pool of old fart dinosaurs. there’s a lot of better younger coach is out there............ we don’t need a Pelini 2.0
