Always seemed like the best fit with the past history. Did something go down?

It would be a way better fit for him than Tennessee but apparently they did not enjoy their time in Gainesville. I don’t know what happened though

Florida will regret it if they let him get away again.

It seems like people who work with Mullen don’t like him . Foley didn’t want him after having him as the OC at UF. Now Stricklin doesn’t seem to want him after being Mullen’s AD at State .

Must be really bad because Mullen will bring winning and stability back to Florida.

Personal pride, caring about his players on the team that he built and recruited, and his true purpose and happiness in life.

Knowing that he’s built state up to something that is better than Florida right now. He’s basically set the bar in Starkville, doesn’t have to try to match spurrier’s success in Gainesville.

He’s a great candidate and would do well, but those are the reasons as to why not

Mullen doesn't want to be at UF. There's an interview with him around the time Meyer left and he said that winning at Florida became a relief instead of enjoyment.

Stricklin isn't going after him because he knows he wouldn't be able to return home again. He wouldn't do that to State.

Translation:

He wants nothing to do with us, so we will pretend he’s always been and a-hole who we never wanted anyway.

Meanwhile we will cry into our jorts and wonder why our coaching search seems to be making Joe Alleva look competent.
