First, Wilson was not coaching anymore when Ole Miss hired him. He was the athletic director for Orleans parish public schools. He turned OP Walker into respectable program where their players were not thugs.

pump ya brakes brutha. i played for O.P. Walker before Wilson got there, there were no "thugs" on my squad.the program had no true direction though, and Frank gave it that and then some.

Reality is what is.

"Should be" is, by definition, not reality.

If a kid is in 10th grade, they are in 10th grade, no matter what grade they should be in.

If a kid is a "commit", they are a "commit"...no matter what their status should be...until they inform the coaches otherwise, at which point they are no longer in the "commit" category.

So when the 10th grader tests out of enough classes to become a 12th grader, at that point....and at NO POINT BEFORE...are they in the category of 12th grader.

like calling a guy who is telling everyone in his town that he is not going to LSU, an LSU commit

and if a kid is considering other schools, he's not a commit

other than brown, who has he ever recruited that LSU really wanted and went after?

rishaw johnson?

who gives a shite?

thats not my point.

him not getting guys from LA at 2nd tier SEC schools is not indicative on how goo/bad a recruiter he is.

LSU has been one of hte top teams in the nation the last few years. As it is, they lock down the state.

So Wilson isnt a good recruiter because he cant get a LA guy???

shite, has anyone???

its really stupid to judge him on that.

If he comes to LSU, and has any personality what so ever(he does, he is well liked), he'll recruit very well. It will speak for itself. It doesnt matter who he didnt get at Ole Miss or Tenn from LA that LSU offered.

For all you trying to find proof on Wilson, what do you want us to do? Show you a video of him being a dirty recruiter?

Why doesn't Miles have shite swirling around of how terrible of a guy he is or how dirty he is in recruiting?

When stuff like this is said enough, it usually turns out to be true. Hell, their was rumors about DJ swirling way back when LSU hired him. Look how that turned out to be true. You're not questioning that now, are you? Just saying.

You can believe what you want, it doesn't really matter. Its not going to stop Miles from hiring this dude.

that's his one selling point

if we already own his area without him, why do we need him?

So Johnson can sign the dotted line then send him on his way.

Its really simple. Miles sees a big opportunity in Louisiana next year and Wilson can easily help that. Basically putting a packaged deal with Johnson. Why not sign him for one year and at the same time, add to Wilson's coaching background? Sounds like a win win for both.

yeah

if freak johnson weren't already committed somewhere, i doubt we even look at wilson

if wilson were at MSU or SMU still, he wouldn't even be on our radar b/c losing johnson wouldn't be a threat

with the LSU shirt on his back, and his personality and specific ability to connect with african american families and recruits, he can and will, IMO, be a good recruiter for LSU all over the south. Not just LA.

thats what you aren't getting. "No name" guys get position jobs at big schools and automatically become good recruiters. It has more to do with personality than anything else. not sure why you are being so closed minded thinking Wilson is a scrub.

he's at UTenn

he has 1 commit as of right now, a 3-star TE

2 of his targets committed elsewhere (robinson to TAMU, reed to AU), and he's left with a couple JUCOs, only 1 of whom has scheduled a visit with UTenn, and a 3-star WR
