The only thing he needed to correct was his offense ideology. Pretty sure he will do that.

I think he could be very successful if given the chance

Been saying this all week. Him or Mack Brown

Both are great working a room and could right the ship and also recruit and build them back up.

He would probably take the job, and he would do a lot better than Butch did at winning at a base level and restoring recruiting. At this point, he is the most solid choice they will get to seriously consider them. He could potentially be a great brodge to the next guy and help restore some credibility.

He will never change his offensive approach no matter who the offensive coordinator is. It is always Les’s offense. It cost him his job at LSU after false promises year after year. He will never change nor should any school will trust that he will change.

What does Les Miles actually bring to the table at the moment? He interviewed for the Univ of Houston job a year ago and they quickly dropped him.

He won’t change, but at a program that is desperate to be fixed, he would be fine. He can win 7-9 games in the SEC and recruit well. UT needs a Shula-type hire to get them through this, and Miles can do that.

Les is making over 200,000 a MONTH doing nothing. Why change?

It all comes down to whether he wants to coach P5 again. This would probably be his shot.

I think Les Miles would be a pretty good hire. I think the problem is that the Tennessee fan base would freak out over it.

nah, he will still stay predictable and run in a phone booth and not spread field however him or fulmer or brown or coker SHOULD be able to get them 7 or 8 wins until they find a good up and comer who will take job.

Nobody is taking chizik. everybody knows malzahn and CAn won him that title in 2010. malzahn played for a natty on his own without chizik in 2013 and may do it again this year.

He’s working for fox and doing a weekly podcast for the players tribune.

Guys who dedicate their lives to coaching don’t just sit around and do nothing. They aren’t those kind of people.

I don't understand the posters on here who think Les is unqualified for the job. He won 2 SEC Championships and 1 National Championship. He's a MASSIVE upgrade over Butch Jones and one of the more attractive candidates available who might actually be interested in the job. It boggles my mind that people are talking about him like he's some coach who never had success.

Les would be 68 for his first graduating class.

Who cares? Bill Snyder is a rotting corpse and he was Kansas State winning ~8 games per year. Les appears to be in really good health and could seemingly coach for another 4 or 5 years. It's better than plugging the hole with some garbage coordinator that they're going to fire in 3 years anyway.
