Why do people think Aranda is leaving if certain coaches aren't hired?

Seen a lot of threads that say if this coach or that coach is hired then Aranda is gone. I think Fisher is one of them they say that about. Not sure where they come down on Herman. Seen it said about coach Orgeron as well. What is that being based on?

It's more likely aranda leaves to be an hc than take another D.C. Job.

People are just guessing. We really don't know much about Aranda other than him being a badass DC

Someone said Aranda would leave if O was hired. I'm starting to doubt it more and more. Especially because shea at 247 said Aranda and O have become close. Aranda and Raymond as well.

Because we opened this board two months too early and there is really nothing to talk about so people are speculating and talking in circles

That is why

The thing about hiring coach O is you could probably give Aranda a big pay raise just due to your not going to have to pay CEO as much as you would have to pay to get Herman or Fisher.

Not saying I'm in favor of hiring coach O, the jury is still out on him, but I just don't get that narrative that Aranda would leave if O was hired. Same for Fisher or Herman. Why would he be any more likely to leave than he would have been if coach Miles was still HC of this team?

Yes, can't see him leaving to take a DC job anywhere else just due to he has to be pretty happy with the talent he has to work with here and we could give him a pretty hefty raise. Whatever he is getting paid now, he deserves a raise.

Do we even know if Aranda wants to be a head coach? He seems more suited to be a defensive coordinator.

Has he come out and said so? I don't know. But we do know a couple of things. He has it negotiated in his contract that he can leave at any point to be head coach anywhere with no buy out.

Also one of his friends and GA's from Delta State said it was his goal.

Scott laughed retelling that story. It’s just goofy, quirky Dave Aranda — a defensive mad scientist with a quiet, self-depreciating style who, yes, wants to be a head coach one day. “He’s going to be a rock star,” Scott said.

I think it's pretty clear that he wants to be and will be eventually. It will just depend on when and what job he wants to accept.

It's all a bunch of bullshite hypotheticals being thrown around. Whomever's hypothetical turns out being correct will probably turn around and say they had sources so other rantards will look at them in awe.

Because they like to hear themselves talk. Truth is no one knows.
