Why are Michigan ppl so confident Miles would accept the HC job if offered?

I'm very surprised at how confident they are, even their AD ppl supposedly are sure Miles would accept, why?

And is there any truth to stories that Miles reached out to them in 2010?

TIA

I've heard that they're hesitant to offer him in fear of rejection and making them appear more desperate afterwards?

Because they are delusional, much like Texas and USC fans were.

If Miles goes to Michigan, it means Harris isn't very good.

I love how this board has the same questions posted over and over and over, but they're just worded differently

Because they have an unrealistic and oversized opinion of themselves. Much the same as LSU ppl. And a lot of others, to be honest.

Homers are homers.

I've read that a couple of times but it's overwhelmingly been in the other direction.....at least on this board

I'm starting to think another poster in this thread is right, Michigan ppl are just delusional. Much like Notre Dame, USC, and Ohio state to a lesser extent

Thats why they're going to screw this hire up royally. They already look desperate by having all this stuff reported. Half of those idiots want Miles, and the other half doesn't. Michigan deserves everything they're going through right now.

And the snag here is that the next coach we hire has a track record of good QBs..

I don't know if it's true or not but I've read that on 20+ websites over the last 4 years. One was MgoBlue I think.

Lane to LSU
Assume you mean Kiffen? If so, he is another Saban who will burn with ambition and use LSU as a stepping stone, just like Saban did. Don't want that.

Every fan base is extremely confident at the beginning of coaching searches.

however, if they don't get the top candidate (this is almost always the case) reality sets in and the confidence is converted to panic. Then, a good portion are immediately disappointed when they finally do make the hire.

Finally, once the new coach is in and does and interview or two, they come around and become optimistic about the hire.

It's the life cycle of hiring a new coach.

well I for one would dance on my roof if the idiot left!

As for Michigan, at this point if you want him, then make him an offer. Who cares if he might say no. Take the chance and get the guy. This time around, their are people at LSU who wouldn't mind Miles leaving and wouldn't do anything to stop him, i.e. another raise. LSU board knows that another raise for Miles would go over about as well letting Curley Hallman come back and coach!!
