strong was a decent D.C. and couldn't do shite with those Texas spread d guys. Aranda is an NFL type D.C., he fits better at LSU.

You are probably right. Aranda hasn't spoken with anyone including Herman. In fact, he is probably refusing to take a call from anyone associated with texass.
If you were an up and coming defensive coach where would you rather be? At one of the best defensive teams in the country in a conference not saturated with great offenses, or a rebuilding project with awful day one talent in a conference where holding someone to 24 points is considered great?

TigerFanNKaty, don't bother. Tridentds wants this so badly he can taste it. He obviously has no contract knowledge whatsoever. That, or he's delusional.

Obviously Texas is in his ear. You don't hold off on signing a 2 million dollar contract. Unless another job is talking about more money.

Either LSU or the NFL for him. Does that sum it up about right?
Does anyone find it amusing that an Aggie is messing with LSU fans using UTs actions?
Yes we know Texas and LSU are your daddies.

Or the contract is still at the lawyers office.

Lawyers/agents desk and Dave is out recruiting but continue on with panic

Some of you guys are rattled. Not sure why.
After all... you have one of the greatest "closers" in Joe Alleva. I'm sure there is no chance of him screwing anything up with his impeccable track record.
Alleva playing chess and all...

I also think he knows he is the next HC at LSU.
No, he won't. It could be a launching pad to a P5 HC spot elsewhere, but more likely, if he takes care of business, he could get the same position in the NFL.

Damn it you beat me to it. That is usually how it works. Yes I agree I'll have my lawyer look it over if everything is in order as agreed, I'll sign when I get back from recruiting some awesome linebackers.

An AtM fan glued to a Longhorn website for news about LSU

Really? You're on an LSU board talking shite? An aggie??
Yes, we are in panic mode about our defensive coordinator. You do realize that contract wouldn't bind him to be here anymore than he already is right? If he wanted to leave he'd be gone. The contract is just a pay raise and a show of appreciation by us. He's free to go if he wants in all reality. The fact that he hasn't is your answer

Wasn't in here talking shite. Simply responded to the OP. Without going into details half of our family is shorthorn fans... season ticket holders, etc... and we were all together this past weekend. They were talking about Herman, Aranda, etc... One of them told me about Orangebloods and I read the story for myself.
I don't care if Aranda stays at LSU, goes to the NFL, or goes to texass. I can tell you that after all the whining bitch arse posts in this thread that I will BUMP THE frick out of this thread if he ends up in Austin.

We aren't rattled. Some of us are trying to explain the process to you, which you seem to not understand; the rest are making fun of you by their use of sarcasm.
I can guarantee you that Orgeron, Aranda, and Herman have not signed their contracts. The lawyers have to review them and submit any changes/corrections. That kind of work is not done by only one lawyer, and it certainly isn't done overnight.

Exploring his options for spending all that money we're giving him.

If he's smart, he's looking. Why shut down possibly better job offers?
