Raises hand.
How hard is it to sign a paper, or fax a paper? Recruiting isn't a good answer. I think he's holding out and waiting to see what texas offers

He doesnt seem the type to verbally agree while also looking for something else.

I guess its possible, but you seem to want to be a real pessimist about our associate head coach.

Herman has already reached out to Aranda. From Orangebloods-

quote:

here’s been plenty of talk that Herman would pursue first-year LSU coach Dave Aranda, with whom Herman was college roommates with at California Lutheran.

Reports indicate that the interest is mutual, but reports of LSU head coach Ed Orgeron’s long-term pitch to the decision-makers included retaining Aranda. This one could go either way.

Mutual interest is what they are claiming... who knows? Seems they are in contact with Aranda at the very least.

He is a classy, low key type and I bet his word is his bond. I also think he knows he is the next HC at LSU.

"Dave Aranda’s new deal, agreed to yesterday as Ross Dellenger reported, makes him the highest paid assistant coach in college football a source tells FootballScoop. There was no ongoing negotiations, just waiting for lawyer’s review."

That was Saturday; today is Tuesday. He gave a verbal but hasn't signed for two reasons: His lawyers are reviewing the contract, and that kind of contract requires a wet sig.

You are probably right. Aranda hasn't spoken with anyone including Herman. In fact, he is probably refusing to take a call from anyone associated with texass.

Either LSU or the NFL for him. Does that sum it up about right?

It's not like LSU just writes a number down on a napkin and have someone initial it. These are contracts that get agreed to in principal then drawn up and then viewed by lawyers of both parties before being signed. Sometimes that can take awhile.

He is also currently under contract so legally so there is no rush in signing it.
