LSU - Sumrall. Successful everywhere he’s been, young, hungry. Makes too much sense so it probably won’t happen.

Auburn (assuming they fire Freeze) - Silverfield. Similar to Sumrall but not quite as impressive. He would do well at the Barn.

Florida - Brohm. Not sure he would leave but he is tailor made for this job.

Arkansas - Petrino. No brainer. Bring on Coach O for D line and John Daly as some kind of special assistant.

Kiffin would be worth a shot for any of these schools but I don’t think he’s leaving for another SEC job.

Well. Auburn isn't open. If we are, Sumrall wants that job. So there is that.

Yea, if Auburn gets wind that LSU is seriously considering Sumrall, I bet the pull the trigger on Freeze quickly and get Sumrall locked down.

Sumrall would likely take Auburn over LSU.

Why? Just curious. Because he coached at Troy? He played at Kentucky. I think he’d take the job he feels gives him the most resources for success. Not that Auburn can’t but lsu has proven to do it repeatedly with different coaches.

Graduated from Grissom HS. Wife went to Auburn. They are AL people.

His wife is an Auburn alumni and he was raised in Alabama. Also coaching at Troy means he likely has recruiting ties.

If I were Sumrall I would look very hard at Auburn before making the move. I get that Harsin had off field issues and was let go after 2 years and now they are looking to dump Freeze after 3 years.

And I've said this repeatedly but I don't think Sumrall is ready for a Power job yet. It's nothing to do with me wanting him to stay at Tulane but he has only been a head coach for 3.5 years.

And look…..by no means am I saying that he is 100% going to Auburn. Sumrall may love what LSU has to offer, if they do decide to look at him. I don’t think he is going to Kentucky unless they are going to guarantee him the resources needed to win (I will admit that I don’t know what is the current situation at Kentucky). However with his wife being an alum and him growing up in Alabama I mean….wouldn’t it kinda seem like the perfect situation?

I think the people who downvoted my statement are LSU fans not knowing his ties to Alabama (the state) and Auburn (his wife).
