Lane Kiffin wasn’t the guy that got busted buying Reggie Bush’s family a house, which is why they were put on sanctions. That was Pete Carroll.

I actually agree with this statement. The problem is California doesn't support football like the South and Midwest.

In the days of Reggie Bush and good QBs they were the ticket in L.A.

That was nearly 20 years ago and there was no other football in LA at the time. Now, I'm not saying the Rams and Chargers are wildly popular there now...but USC isn't the only football game in town like they were in the early 2000's

Just in the SEC West alone, Alabama, LSU, A&M and Auburn fans EXPECT their teams to challenge for the conference championship every year.

I’m cherry picking but why the hell would A&M fans EXPECT to challenge for the SECC? They have never even made the championship game……ever!

Andys podcast is great. Rick is a west coast Pac 12 blowhard.

The California taxes alone make LSU a better job.

What a bullshite narrative. They were hammered by NCAA penalties after he got there from the Pete Carroll era.

LSU is a better job but I’m surprised the media narrative has finally shifted to accept this. Historically the love for SC has been nauseating.

Since the latest TV deal and A&M moved, I think even most of the national sportswriters who only have cursory knowledge of college football understand that the SEC towers over everyone else right now. There’s just too much evidence to push back on that at this point and LSU will always be one of the bigger programs. Three titles in a 20 year span is better than anyone but Bama.

The LA area produces the best QBs in the country, and most go elsewhere. That should tell you the state of college football in LA.

Several of the most successful high school programs are in the metro. St John Bosco, Mater Dei, Long Beach Polytech
