You're all wrong.

The Pennington gift was to the LSU System to create the biomedical center. That money never came to LSU proper.

Patrick Taylor's efforts in starting TOPS don't apply to LSU itself. The taxpayers of Louisiana fund TOPS, and it is for students of all colleges in Louisiana.

No former LSU athlete is in the picture.

The largest donor to LSU is the Burden family, which donated 450 acres of prime real estate in the middle of Baton Rouge to LSU. The LSU Rural Life museum sits on it now.

Estimated value is just under $300 million.

Since most of you'll are unemployed internet geeks I'm definitely the top donor who posts here and I've let it be know I want him to stay. My sources in Allevas office say its 50/50 fwiw. But obviously its entirely up to Miles.
