Lol I wanted Kelley or Stoops. I’m definitely in the minority. The flashy hire BS is so overrated. How sexy are Saban, or Ryan Day, or Kirby Smart? Not very, but they just get shite done.

I didn’t want him because I heard he was an ahole but I’m welcoming him with open arms! As long as he wins I don’t care if he is an ahole or not. Just win baby!

Really? He was almost fired several times.

As a big Notre Dame fan, I’ve had my frustrations with Brian Kelly as not having exciting and effective modern offenses. Also i thought he was a perfect fit for ND. However, if he’s the guy, and it looks like he is, I’m all in.

I went full melt mode 30min ago. I’m calm now & this hire is making sense. Retaining Raymond & Faulk is key & made me feel better. I just hope Mickey & Baker gets retained. Bring Marcus Freeman let’s ride

No one had him as a possible hire because no one would think he would leave yet Woodward convinced him to leave easy street to come coach in the SEC. That's a big hire.

I didn't but I didn't think he was a possibility though. ND is my 2nd favorite team and I absolutely love the hire for LSU. Don't really like it for ND but maybe they can get fickel or Campbell.

Not me but I’m on board. Dude is gonna frick with 4 and 5 stars.

You think he didn’t have 4 & 5* at ND?

Notre Dame has one five-star recruit and eight four-star recruits in its starting lineup and five more four-star skill players coming off the bench

Actually OP I thought Kelly would be a great hire but didn’t think we would go after him. I’ve always thought if Kelly had SEC talent to work with he could potentially win it all.

The only reason I would say that I did not want kelly is because I never would have believed LSU could steal the coach from ND!

I would have liked him if I thought he was a real option, he had it made at ND felt like they would never fire him. He doesn’t want comfort, he wants to win a championship and that why I like the hire.

Not me and I believe there will still be at least 2-3 years of mid tier SEC play.

I didn't care who was hired as long as they bring stability and respectability back to the program. Les and Ed sorta kinda made us a joke. I think this hire brings us that stability and respectability we have lost. Recruits and more importantly recruits parents will begin seeing this.

I wanted Fickell but I'm pretty damn happy with Kelly

I never put him on my list because it never crossed my mind, thought he'd ride the easy train at ND into retirement
