I would LOVE Applewhite, but his destiny is at UT. He won't leave there again. I know it's just Bleacher Report, but I've been hearing this since UT's 4th game of the year.

The Hat, the Chief, and the Pirate. SVP would do his show live from LSU campus everyday.

Over under on the number of Tiger Pirate flags purchased on the day his hire was announced. I'll go with all that are in stock.

Yea, for those that don't think Leach would work with Les, I feel like you're wrong. Look at the Chief, he's fine with being left alone up in his box calling plays. He's the opposite of Miles and I think it's for the better

Neither can I. Miles and the program have equity in the "men of class and character" niche, and I bet it's a great recruiting tool. We can find high caliber coaches without Leach's baggage.

Chicken do you really believe Crowton will be let go and more than that, do you really believe Miles has not been hand cuffing his play calling??

It is obvious to me that the last few games Miles has turned him loose..............

I don't know who is the best candidate, but if LSU fans want Mettenberger to come here it had better be someone who runs a version of a pro style offense or a spread w/o all that veer option shite that most of them run. Kid is going to want to sling it.

This is what I'm thinking. Miles has a history of standing by his coaches. Has he fired a coach yet? It seems like he lets them go only when they have another job lined up.

And Leach isn't going to to come for, nor would he fit, an OC job at LSU. That's just silly

If our offense was ranked higher than 95th I might agree with you, but I really think Crowton is gone after the season. From what we heard he was almost gone last season but the money for the buyout wasn't there. I think he had this year to right his ship, and he has not done that at all.

The guy I would love LOVE LOVE is Troy Calhoun. Would moving from head coach at Air Force to offensive coordinator and maybe assistant coach at LSU be a lateral move? If we could sell him on it we'd win a NC next year, fact.

Leach is talent, but could his ego permit him to serve effectively under ANY college HC?
That he might move on in a few yrs. is not an issue.
ANY great OC would be expected to move up, just like any great DC (Pelini, for example).
