Yep. It's not worth trying to prove him wrong because it's not even a discussion with him. He won't concede Herman has ever done anything worthwhile, but will tell you all about O's great offense that couldn't score a point against Bama.

I actually think Houston would be a good place for him to land, if he wants to prove his HC/program running abilities.

I think Alleva offers Jimbo $6 mil and Herman $5 mil. Whichever one jumps first gets it. I do think Jimbo gets his offer first or gets the call if they both are a yes.

Herman must have railed his old lady back in the day. No way someone can be so salty towards someone without it being personal. I was hoping he would take the ban bet. His moronic posts are always annoying and fruitless.

Me too. I wouldn't be upset about either hire, but looking at it from Alleva's standpoint he will likely go for the guy with a Natty and ACC coach over a AAC coach who hasn't been HC at a major program, yet. Only time would tell if he looks like a genius or idiot.

And LSU losing to a UAB is a horribly pathetic loss even to this day

At least it was in Saban's first year and not his second like Herman. A team is supposed to get better over time under a "great" coach, not worse.

And UH has talent but it doesn't have LSU talent or Bama talent

And he doesn't play SEC teams week-in week-out either. He plays teams like Navy, Tulsa, SMU and UCF. He has a lot more talent than those teams.

#76 - SMU
#124 - Navy

But Herman loses and he's held to a higher standard than even a legend like Saban.

Herman lost to Navy and SMU in his second year. I don't think he is being held to a higher standard. I also don't think he is qualified to be LSU's head coach.

Navy is a good team this year.

SMU is a bad loss

Those who want Herman need Charlie to beat West Virginia this weekend.

Think they fire strong if he loses to WVU, but beats TCU and Kansas? Or is WVU a must win for him?

For what? Bringing up fact. If you don't believe anything I say you can go to ESPN and look at Houston's schedule.

Really, I'm not making this shite up. The DUDE lost to Navy and SMU with a team who has much more talent !!! His great offensive mind was able to muster 303 total yards against SMU. That is not opinion.

I feel the same way about people who want him to be the head coach at LSU. Does the guy have a shite load of relatives on this board, or what? For a one-year-wonder he sure has a lot of die hard fans on this board.

Not sure why people still even respond to the guy, it's like a scratched record on repeat. Just ignore and move on.

After yesterday it appears that Strong gets at least one more year at UT.

There will RARELY rarely...very rarely EVER be a case where a coach's job is based on a single game. Strong STILL has to finish out the year at a decent clip. If he loses another game, he better lose it in a good way.

This, "he won, they arent firing him", "he lost, hes going to be fired" needs to stop. Its ridiculous.

No you're not making it up.

No because you are using the aforementioned facts to distort Tom Herman's tenure as head coach. People have brought up several counter points to all your facts, and instead of evaluating there statements (which are also facts) you choose to just relentlessly say "Herman sucks because of two games".

We get it. No one is denying that the losses are bad. We are saying look at his overall body of work. We all know he would be a high risk high reward kinda guy at LSU, but you take a couple bad games as the only thing he did or would ever do.

This why people have become annoyed by your posts and hope you get banned. It's like the only thing you contribute to this board is negativity about Herman. I mean people have asked you who would you prefer, but you won't even have a discussion about it. If you would be able to discuss other coaches instead of using all your energy to bash Herman at every turn people wouldn't find you so insufferable.

Sorry i didnt mean it like that. I mean he has started to win. Beating Baylor helped his case a lot and he won against Tech on the road. I'm not sure if he has to win out to keep his job, but you are right. He definitely needs a couple more wins. I would say 7-5 keeps him safe as long as his loss is close.

I was saying atm, he is one step closer to being at UT. So if that's the case, where does Herman land.

He is about to lose two more games this year in addition to the Navy and SMU losses. It would be stupid for a program like LSU to hire a guy in his first head coaching gig who's team is getting worse over time.
hes not ready for LSU.

I don't think it's that simple. I think he could lose one more maybe to WVU or TCU and still be ok, but it would be heavily dependent on the type of loss.

They will need to have the fans turn enough to justify it and not have a pr nightmare on their hands.
