Sounds like A&M really screwed and could've had Jeff Fisch. That most likely doesn't happen now.

Arizona is a basketball school that will never put resources into their football program and will never truly compete with the higher echelon teams in college football. Sure they won't end up in the Mountain West like Oregon State (who just lost Jonathan Smith) but the Big 12 and ACC will clearly be a level below the SEC and Big Ten.

Does Jedd Fisch wait for Ohio State (Ryan Day is probably gone next year if he doesn't beat Michigan) or Michigan (since Jim Harbaugh might go back to the NFL with the bad blood at Michigan) or does he make the jump to another school?

If I was Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida or South Carolina I try to make the move. All of them could be very good SEC schools with the right coach and none of them have coaches that are going to work long term.

Out of all the coaches moving around currently I think Jedd Fisch is the coach who has the best chance of ascending a program to the level of Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State and Michigan.

He will probably wait a year and go with Florida next year. I don’t see how Billy makes it through 2024

If Florida is smart this is their play but Florida also has an incompetent AD in Scott Stricklin. They need to let Stricklin go, let Napier fail in 2024 and then go out and get Fisch.

I still think he probably ends up at A&M. He is high up on list.

Bjork is a fricking clown and probably has no say at this point. He is about to get his walking papers.

If fisch has another good year in 2024.

This year has been outstanding but could he be another one year wonder like Aranda?

This outcome that you outlined would relieve some anxiety.

If Florida had any smarts they would clean house in the athletic department and hire Pantoni out of Ohio State and let him bring in Jeff Fisch as our savior.

Ultimately he will be in the NFL. He is an NFL guy, and would rather be there than college.

Don’t be shocked when he is offered the UCLA job.

Tend to agree. Wouldn’t be shocked if Ags get him but he gets an NFL gig after 3 or 4 years. Fine by me, I’d rather a coach leave due to success than being fired.

You would always have to worry about him bolting to Florida. He's from Jersey but has family in Gainesville. When he was the assistant OC at the Rams, he said Florida was his "dream job". He's also very close with Spurrier , who he played for.

UF should have called him last night and made an offer.
