We may not be able to agree on Fleck being a good candidate, but one thing we can all agree on is that LSU fans will hate their new coach. They will either hate him right from the start, or hate him as soon as he doesnt win his first game by 50.

Not a chance!! Herman is 6 years older than Fleck and his resume is more rounded than Fleck's. Not even close.

Fleck will do well but he is the epitome of the "flavor of the month" and no guarantee with his 28-21 record that he will be anything other than a motivational speaker selling his plan on a 2:30 am infomercial.

Herman should be the focus not lil' Tony Robbins.

I don't agree. Not sure if he is "special" as in a spectacular coach or as in "special" like you. But he is definitely special in a way.

His biggest weakness would be recruiting sec style

Just seeing he was the recruiting coordinator at NIU before age 30. Only 35 now, seems like someone that the recruits and their parents would like. Basing this solely on a few interviews I've seen with him on ESPN

Watched an interview with him the other day and was impressed. Was basically saying he understands why an undefeated Western Michigan wouldn't be considered for the playoff, that they would need to have sustained success over the course of a few seasons to get consideration.

No matter who is hired, 1/4 of our fans will pull against the Tigers because they didn't get their way.

I think he ends up at somewhere like Purdue, Baylor, Arizona, or the like. 2nd tier P5 school. If he has success there, he jumps to a big program in a couple years
