I think they’d have to lose out to even have a shot at firing DA.
The Saints look at themselves as an org that doesn’t fire someone after 1 year, that takes the long road.

Mickey Loomis would have to be fired for Allen to be fired after this season. Not gonna happen. Allen will get at least another year.
Loomis has a ton of job security, and I don’t think he’s bailing on his hand-picked head coach after one season. They’re both terrible but someone will have to get Gayle Benson to see that. And Loomis and Dennis Lauscha seem to have all the influence in the world on Gayle when it comes to her sports teams.

Didn't Shanahan just win with Mr. Irrelevant? I think Dallas won 4 or 5 with Cooper Rush. Good coaches make it happen. Like it or not.

they have lost in inconsistent ways. Sometimes the offense plays well and the D gives up a bunch of points and visa versa. Thats bad coaching to me.

Agreed. Even with a backup QB and an old declining roster, many of the losses are a direct result of poor coaching.
Gayle Benson and Mickey Loomis are ultimately responsible for all of this. The Saints are going to suck for a long time

They dumped Stan Van Gundy after a year -- even the COVID year -- so it's not out of the question.
