i really just want to go back to a pro-style offense.

I love our RB's and i believe with this line and another year of experience and maybe Mettenberger pulling the trigger; that offense would hum, baby.

les should understand his role and let the guy that knows how to run a offense do that with out him changing plays.

I definitely believe BP, but it is not likely.

Leach has a proven record with calling plays, but none of which has ever centered around a power running game which LSU has already in it's rb's as well as the two incoming recruits.

Texas Tech normally had a good running game.

im guess because leach and miles styles of what they want on o are not close at all.

true. i guess ill hold out hope that miles can let go of the reigns a little bit and give leach a chance to show him what he can do...

If Leach is OC, I think there is a good chance he coaches from the field. This creates less chances for miles to overturn him when calling the plays right? Leach wouldn't be going through Miles with every single play call....

Now I have no clue if Leach is interested in the job, but I hear Miles is going to find out.

Leach as an OC rather than a HC? Is that even possibly in his career goals at this stage? Or do you sense that maybe there is more to Miles' motivation than just finding the right OC?

Say we did get leach, anyone think this could help boost recruiting in the lone star state?

Belowpar might be screwing with the board just for payback for all the negativity over the past year.

I wouldn't blame him if he did.

However, if this is true, it is brilliant. Miles hired Crowton knowing exactly what kind of offense he ran. Why do people say that Miles wants to just run power backs?

Also, if Leach had full control (how could you not give it to him?), who's to say that he doesn't employ a power running game to go along with the Air Raid offense? Why are they mutually exclusive?

This would be a brilliant move, in my opinion. It is way cheaper than buying out Miles. If Miles went this route and let Leach run the offense and Chavis the defense for the next 3 years or so, and he sat back and gave oversight to the program and recruited as well as he has, how is LSU not just about unstoppable?

Leach has a HUGE ego, but I think that Miles could make it work. Chavis seems to like him and the players respect him. Why not?

i can't even begin to count the ways that, that would improve our offense.

We could possibly go from the bottom 20 to the top 10 in the nation. With all the good backs we have he will utilize them. Shep and ware/ford will be cathing alot of passes for sure. whatever he does he needs to do it soon, so we can make up ground before signing day.

good running game yes, but it was all predicated by passing the ball 40-50 times per game.

You obviously didn't watch many tech games. They were a very good running team when they ran it.

Without an offensive line that knows how to execute blocking assignments and has the physical ability to dominate in the process, it's all pipe dreams.
