For the record, this ain't happening. But if it did, exactly what QB would launch this air raid?
I think Lee would run his offense pretty friggin' well.
Lee has a super quick release and is generally accurate on the short stuff. He is not great with pocket presence and making plays with pressure, but Leach's offense would play to his strengths rather than those weaknesses.
Jefferson doesn't stand a chance.

hey you do whatever the frick you want. I'm not gonna get in some knight fest over belowpar. I just find it funny that you have openly said you think his information is at best slanted to favor miles and at worst overall suspect. then to follow that with begging him for information and your sincere hope that he is doing well is hilarious.

Leach can take a Freshman QB and make him look like a stud...it's amazing how he does this...i watched every game I could when he was at TT....The 10 million dollar question is will his offense work in the SEC w/the superfast defenses we typically have....probably an experiment worth trying

Tiger4Ever, this is my train of thought... If his contract is up, then a new OC would pretty much be a lock for next year.

Crowton's ADHD style surely hasn't cut it in the SEC save one year with Flynn running things.
We don't have to be a top 10 offense...top 50 and this team is playing in the BCSNCG this year.

Leach would be a perfect fit here for a couple of seasons. Here's why:
LSU is SUPER talented on offense. An offense that has had 3 straight abysmal seasons - the last two with an average rank of 100.
His reputation has been tarnished and needs to be repaired.
He'd get paid about $500,000.
He would prove that he could run with the big boys in the SEC.
After 2-3 years here, he could go on and get a MAJOR head coaching job anywhere he wanted.
Why would he not take it?
And, if Belowpar is right, if Miles really wants Leach, that should tell you everything you need to know about what Miles' real offensive philosophy is. That is why he hired Crowton and Crowton clearly cannot produce. Since everything is such a mess, Miles just tries to get SOME kind of production out of the offense.
I think that Miles has gotten a bad rap, honestly. I think that Crowton is the major problem and he needs to be let go. Of course, Miles is responsible for him being here, so hopefully he will make the needed changes.

i agree, but wouldnt it be nice for once to see a super productive offense at LSU, we always hang our hat on defense I agree, however, just once, I'd like to see us w/a heisman type of QB...why we can't do this and other schools can is a mystery to me

That what made this season so frustrating! All this talent with a football for dummies playbook!

Kind of funny how belowpar's updates always painted a defense for Miles.
"Miles was willing to get rid of Crowton, but the AD and TAF said they won't let him because they won't pay the buyout."
How freaking convenient

I am not against BelowPar and appreciate his insights, but to act like he doesn't have an agenda when he comes on here is hilarious.
It's one thing to be a dick. To be dumbass and a dick requires special breeding and a total lack of parental care. Congrats.

Really?
Just because I said I didn't take everything BelowPar states as Gospel, doesn't mean I think badly of the guy. I actually said that it's nice to hear his insight, but that people get to wound up over his stuff. My concerns are with Miles, not BelowPar.
All I've ever said is that BelowPar's versions always tend to paint Les in a positive light and with minimal fault. If you look at his history, this will be proven true. It does not invalidate his knowledge or inside information, but I find it odd that it's never Miles' fault or a bad decision on Miles' part.
With the DC's, he couldn't find anyone better. With Crowton, he couldn't find anyone he liked. Both may have complete merit, but others who also have some inside information in the past have stated different versions.
Again, I think BelowPar is a nice guy and puts up with a lot of shite. He's very thoughtful to give his insights to us on this site. Never said anything different from that, but just because I take what he says with a grain of salt and openly state that I feel that way, doesn't mean I am calling him a liar or a bad person.
Ah, but it seems like you enjoy putting down on BelowPar. It seems like you are the only one on this board that takes pleasure in refuting what BelowPar says. And even though you said that you are not putting down on him, you continue to make it sound like his reports are only to defend Les Miles. I don't know what it is with you. It's like you have to argue everyone on the board up and down the wall about everything. Maybe it's just that you think you are right about everything.

Coming from you, I seriously doubt I give a shite.
Again, I don't worship BelowPar like many of you do, but nor do I consider him a liar or someone out to get attention. I take what he says with a grain of salt based on his pattern of posts. They always paint a picture of Les in a "he tried his best but couldn't find anything worthwhile. Poor Les, there's no good hires out there".
He claimed to know some information about Les' contract earlier in the year in regards to the buyout and since he's an insider, I asked if he knew the details of Crowton's. There seems to be a lot of confusion on his contract and even if one still exists as if he got a 3 year contract prior to 2008, his contract would be up now and firing him isn't an option unless they rehire him just to fire him.
Some others also claimed the buyout last year was near $1 Million meaning Crowton had 2 years left on his contract. Pretty easy to clarify the truth of that matter if BelowPar knows anything about Crowton's contract.
Like I said, I like to hear what people have to say, but that doesn't mean I have to buy it hook like and sinker. BelowPar gets a lot of shite by people thinking he's stating what is for certain happening. That is an utter shame, because he always discloses it or states it as "This is how it LOOKS at this moment". Again, if his versions didn't ALWAYS paint Les as some kind of victim, I'd have less to question him on his info.

Question. What does the credibility of his posts have to do with his opinion of Les? What do you think he makes it up?

Not at all. I think he's giving his opinion of the situation based on what he knows. I never said he's full of shite or telling lies to protect Les. Just kind of funny to me how "something out of Les' control" always seems to be a recurring theme in his info.

You don't know who BelowPar is and probably never will. Take his info as the truth (at the time) and shut the frick up.
