I do alright, not anything close to how Miles has it made though.
Then it is jealousy that drives your hatred of Miles?

No Gray. I understand he is a coach at a top football school and will make a lot of money wherever he may coach. IMO and others he is overpaid for what he produces. Look at all the budget cuts going on at LSU and all the faculty members getting laid off. I am sure they do just as good a job at what they do as Les does at his and they get fired. How about he give a mil back to the school to help those people and depts out. Instead they keep increasing taf fees and ticket prices to help pay for his and his coaches ridiculous salaries. And yes we are helping pay for them.

Mike, everyone is paying big bucks for a coach that has won a MNC or made a MNC appearance.
mack Brown
Bob Stoops
Urban
Saban
Miles
Tressell
Cheznik and Chip Kelly will get big raises if not already
Who else?
Look at all the big boy schools, 3.0 to 5 Million is the going rate..
The last 3 years have been sloppy, but over all in 6 years, Miles has produced fairly well
62-17 with 4 bowl wins is pretty strong

The LSU athletic department is self supporting and actually makes contributions to the LSU general fund, so that excuse is foollish.

Have you heard of academic tenure?

How much are you personally contributing to Miles's salary?

With a win in the cotton bowl, Miles will finish 11-2 for the 4th time in 6 seasons
10 wins doesn't impress me as much anymore, with the 12 game schedule + championship game + bowl game.
However, 11 wins is still very strong.

Gray lets just come to the conclusion that you will defend him for any and everything he does no matter what and I will not. You have your opinions and I have mine. We will pick this back up at a later date I have a NFL game to watch now. Or maybe I can just come over to your house and debate in person tomorrow since you live just down the road from me

Chris Balas, who runs the Michigan Rivals site, said he spoke with Dave Brandon tonight at a basketball game and that he'll have something to say this week. Balas thinks something official could come on Tuesday or Wednesday.

They're saying on another board that Mort just said he thinks Harbaugh to Michigan

This would shock me. He is in the middle of an NFL bidding war about to get a major payday. If it doesn't work out, he can just move back to college like Saban and still kick arse.

For all we know, he may want nothing to do with the NFL. And Michigan may hire somebody who turns out to be real successful and end up coaching there for 20 years. And he may want to coach at his alma mater. We'll see.

he has said previously he wants to do that just like his Dad did.

Les Miles has told people close to the Michigan program he is not interested in their head coaching position, should it open of course. This is a family decision on the Miles family's part. If the position opens and his name comes out as a candidate, which it will, he will avoid making any public comments negative to his university, but he has let people there know he is not interested.
Is this the same release that he used at Oklahoma State?

Les Miles was never going to be offered.
