I'm sure he wants to leave to be a HC but there aren't any options for him that don't also involve a massive paycut. He'll suck it up and remain with LSU next season.

This. He’s not taking a huge cut in pay just because his boss is incompetent. He can stay here for 2 more years and develop elite athletes into a potent offense, then bigger schools may come calling. If not, he stays here or takes another OC job at a P5 school.
