Have you seen what he's done to teams where he was the head coach?

And I agree I don't see Miles getting fired unless yall lose out in embarrassing fashion. And you aren't losing to us
Even if we lose out I don't think you should fire a coach who went 7-4. But it sounds like Alleva and Miles aren't on the same page, and if that's the case, I'd be terrified if Alleva was hiring our next coach.

LSU would buy on the cheap- no way they lay out the money for Gruden

I feel like you make Patterson and Fisher say no.
Then you have the next list each with their own question marks:
- Whittingham - could he recruit down here against the big boys
- Fedora - can he sustain the success he is having this season over multiple
- Fuente - very promising but very young. What he has done at Memphis is pretty amazing though
- Herman - also very promising but still unproven IMO
- Fitzgerald - same question as Whittingham - recruiting

If the job did open up:
No way in hell candidates, but someon on the Rant will claim they are a lock:
1. Saban
2. Pete Carroll
3. Urban Myer
4. Jon Gruden
Stretch candidates, but possible:
1. Chip Kelly
2. Jimbo Fisher
3. Art Briles
4. Gary Patterson
Realistic candidates:
1. Fuente
2. Herman
3. Mike Leach
4. Jim Mora Jr.
Bottom of the bucket:
1. Hud
2. Coach O
3. Houston Nutt
4. Les Miles

I want a coach who puts QBs in the league and puts them there in the 1st round. Jimbo. Offer the man 4.5-5M and make him say no before you talk to anyone else.

What about Defensive minded coaches , God I look at these Big 12 teams and none play defense!

Kiffin isn't as bad as it seems. UT had a too 10 class in one year, and lost to the eventual NC Bama on a fluke blocked FG. Then he inherited a sanction ridden USC. I think he'd do well at LSU. Be great if he came with Monty IMO, which ain't happenin'

Until he proves otherwise to me Kiffin is one those who is a great OC but I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team as a HC. Obviously we disagree but that's my feelings on him.

I agree that Kiffin is better than the average person thinks, but he needs to go prove himself at a smaller school before getting another big time Head Coaching job

Think Smart is just waiting on UGA to open up? I think he's primed for a big HC job. The man has been under the best for a long time now. He also has all the HS ties in the southeast that you need. Easy transition and easy sell.

Yea I know. Did you miss the part where I said it ain't happenin'?

Eh, I think he currently makes just shy of 4.1.
Maybe 5.5 then.

Monte was the worst college DC I've ever seen by the time he got to USC. He had absolutely no idea what was going on. USC had guys running around with absolutely no idea where they were supposed to be. Linebackers 40 yards downfield. There was one game against Oregon where Barner was basically walking through USC's defense without even being touched.

Nah there's no guarantee they would even hire him

I don't recall any specifics from USC defense that year so I'll take your word for it I guess
