230lb safeties in the nickel and dime slot to stop the run in a spread offense so they can get torched on pass attempts

don't know if he's adjusted that scheme for modern NCAA but if he hasn't, he's not a good fit here especially considering what we'll be dealing with in the future. I seem to remember spread teams giving him tons of fits and everyone runs spread these days. It was okay 14 years ago not now and he definitely got those poor safeties isolated in terrible situations. He'd always match them up on the fastest twitchiest slot WRs you could find on the team and they never had the lateral movement to keep up.

Bo maybe a head case, especially as a HC, but he's one hell of a DC, and his defenses were tough as nails.

Youngstown was 23rd in total defense but 52nd in scoring defense this year. (FCS)
