Since it seems the majority of our fan base is ready to crown him perm. HC, i am curious who will we have to compete with to get him.

Potential jobs:

Purdue
USC
Notre Dame
Houston
Oregon
Texas
Other

So any of these fan bases wanna chime in on how much they would fight/pay to get Coach O as HC? Any Coach O fans wanna name who we will have to compete with to grab him?

Amen. If the coach you hire isn't even considered by other top schools why do we want him?

my mom said it best about coach o the other day...

he's the guy you ask to move your furniture but you don't invite him to the housewarming party.

Did my question pertain to Herman? Why don't you answer my actual question?

Hit a nerve did I?

I just find your Hilary supporter-like fervor for an average coach to be a bit amusing.

We shall see though.

You've got me confused. I'm not on the Coach O train.

Yes. You're on the Tom train. You get sideways whenever someone has a different opion than you.

So your love of Lord Herman has you trying to knock coach Orgeron who is 3-0 and outscored opponents 73-7 in the second half. Good luck with that.

USC would have been wise to keep him. They have sucked since he left. Here's a little diddy by the USC marching band, cheerleaders and dance-line titled "Coach O song".

Like I said earlier, the Herman Homerism knows no bounds.

But you said average coach...

I get sideways when people can't actually discuss the guys merits along with his shortcomings. Here's my overall view of Herman:

Some risk. High ceiling. His 3 losses were to lesser teams, but his overall record is still 19-3. That's a damn good record regardless of conference. His body of work at tOSU is pretty impressive as well. Shows he has the smarts to beat some really good defenses when he has top level talent like at tOSU. Jimbo is also another solid choice. Less risk, but lower ceiling. I wouldn't be upset at Jimbo being hired, or several other coaches for that matter.

Here is what bothers me: Herman sucks because he lost 3 games. Coach O is the best or only good option at this point.

So, what part of that assessment do you disagree with? Sure i do like Herman, but in no way have i ever claimed he is the ONLY good candidate for HC.

Sure.

You preach the upside of Tom but seem to ignore any upside to O. What is so wrong with O?
