Exactly. You dont fire les miles to hire a career position coach. Alleva knows his career at lsu hinges on this decision. Surely he wont bet on a coach that has all of 3 years of coaching at a position above dline coach.

Im not saying they should hire him. They need to be sure to have somebody that is a sure shot coming though. Herman is gonna go to Texas. So its either Jimbo or CEO. After Bama, Ensminger is out as OC if CEO gets the job. He'll probably keep him as a positions coach. If we get Jimbo, does Aranda stay? He wants to be a HC and Alleva said the candidate needs to have HC experience. If we keep CEO, who can we get at OC? Sarkisian?
I just believe that if Jimbo is not a sure shot, CEO might not be the worst option
