Should it be around what Miles was making for a top tier choice?

Less/More? Whats your max amount.

Do whatever it takes to get your guy. No cap on compensation.

So $10 Mill for Saban? (no chance obviously just throwing it out there)

What if Jimbo or Herman wants $7.5 MILL?

I think to get TOP TIER we're looking at 6.5 to 7 million a year.

Herman better not ask for 7.5 million.

I'd say if you really want JimBo, no idea why, you gotta give him at least 6+ million.

Offer Herman 5 million.

If he guarantees he'll coach for another 3+ years then hell yes.

You pick your top guy and give it to them. They will have not shortage of other options.

Besides the $6-7 on the books, they will receive many unreported benefits/perks.

it really depends on who it is. I would say...

Herman - $6M
Jimbo - $7M
Orgeron - $2.5M
Mullen - $4.5M

Saban - $25M , but seriously.

Whatever the boosters are willing to pony up. If they're making a point to hire either hottest name in football or an established championship winning coach they had better be willing to as much as it takes. There is no bargain hunting in this search.

Miles was making $4.5 million, it's going to take way more than that to pull Herman or Jimbo. I'd offer Jimbo $6.5, Herman $5.5 to start, but if it takes $7, you give both of them $7 million.

Lol no. The head coach at LSU isn't going to be lowest paid coach in the SEC

If he takes this team to Atlanta, then he's earned it.

No. Taking Les' allstar team to Atlanta does not qualify him to be the HC at LSU.

$21 or $28 million dollar contract for a Houston coach? Yikes. Depending on his desire to leave for LSU, you could get him for cheaper than that.
