What if Les miles took a new job...

Joke: How much of a meltdown would the Rant be if Miles took one of the SEC coaching jobs, and we would lose another coach to a conference?
Serious: Now the real question... If LSU was forced to choose another coach THIS YEAR, who would you consider based on what coaches are/assumed to be on the market this year?

Dooley should be available. Why don't you guys do us UT fans a favor and welcome him back to the LSU family.

The first part was a joke.. But my real question is a good serious one. Of the people who might be moving/getting fired this year, who do u think would be worthy of Coaching LSU?

Or even Alabama... Who do you all think worthy to coach a Top program

I'd go after Gene Chizik, from Auburn.
He turned around a terrible Tommy Tuberville squad to a 7-5 record, has won 3 straight bowl games, and took his team to the national championship in the second year of his tenure. Even got a "Coach of the Year" award too. He'd be a steal and the obvious choice to try and go after.

Joker Phillips. He didn't get the assets that he could get at LSU

True statement.

I'm pretty sure LSU could get any coach they wanted

If they paid them what miles gets paid sure, but if the choices were limited to people who might be getting fire this year or people at smaller programs doing really well (Stong at Louisville) , is there a clear cut favorite everyone likes?

I'd go after the guy who was campaigning for the job when they hired Miles...Jack Del Rio.
Talk about a coach working with a depleted cupboard. His whole tenure in Jacksonville was filled with half arse players and/or the majority of the starters on IR.
Del Rio, like Pete Carol, is better equipped to be a college coach. Somebody will take a flier on him and he'll do quite well.

LSU can do much better than this guy. LSU is better than this guy.

Personally, I think Miles would make a great NFL head coach. I don't think he leaves LSU, however.
