Rhule or any NFL coach would be a big surprise that I didn't initially consider at all.
From a pure Timing perspective, Urban Meyer and Dabo Swinney make a lot of sense to me. Not saying it happens, but timing plays a big role in these things.

Tucker would be worst hire for LSU. The most overhyped, overrated, and overpaid coach in football. I would say “Crap! OK, this didn’t go the way I thought it would.” and “we should have just kept Orgeron.”
Now if it was someone like Saban, Urban, Tomlin I will say “Wow! OK, this didn’t go the way I thought it would.”

If it's somebody other than Riley, Jimbo (though I really, really don't see that one in particular happening), or Napier. I don't really have reason to believe that the constant insider reminders that it's the two whales and Napier as a back up is false.
In here I'm trusting Gruss in that Aranda isn't happening. If Aranda happens that also wouldn't surprise me.

If Riley is hired.
I remember originally hearing his name months ago and even at that point I thought the people who thought Riley would not only be a serious target, but the primary one, were delusional.
I did not expect Woodward to go that hard in the paint. He is a fricking baller and Riley I think realizes he is being offered, and I say this thinking it’s crazy because I genuinely believe it’s true, control of a program that is probably only a legit head coach/offensive recruiter away from being a year in and year a CFP probable.
