What has Riley ever done?

Winning seasons are nice and all but 12mil a year needs to have a ring.

He's recruited 3 NFL QBs as upperclassmen to his teams and he's also recruited 3 5-star high school QBs in Rattler, C.Williams, and the 2023 5-star QB from California.
He's done nothing to improve his defense in 4 years and pretty much is a clone of other Mike Leach coaches in having zero regard for that side of the football. So yes, he's not a sure thing natty coach.

Do you see where we’re at right now? Riley is 55-9 as a Head coach, recruits his arse off in Norman, Oklahoma, is a QB guru with 2 Heisman winners and a Heisman runner up on his resume. Has won 4 big 12 titles and been to 3 playoffs. In 5 years. Hes 38 years old. He’d be a grand slam home run of a hire. Anybody saying otherwise is clueless and anything short of Saban would be a disappointment to them.

Riley is not worth the reported 12/mil a year! He’s worth something but not 12mil.
Would I accept him as the coach? Yeah but wouldn’t be comfortable at 12mil a year. Too much for a guy without a ring

He’s a modern day Spurrier with a very broad recruiting network in key geographies. Knows how to identify talent, get the most from his players, and is never really out of any game. The best part is he’s a balanced and aggressive offensive play caller. Bring in a good D coordinator and recruiter like Muschamp and we’d be pretty unstoppable on both sides of the ball.
