People are putting way too much stock into the UH and Louisville games.

Hell, Saban's defending NC squad at LSU lost 45-16 in 2004 to UGA, and they didn't have as dynamic a player as Louisville has.

Saban's Bama team in 2008 lost to freaking Utah after Meyer had been gone 4 years.

So you are telling me that Saban sucks, right?

Because he had a defending NC team get blown out by a very good conference opponent on the road (like Jimbo did to UL) and lost a bowl game to a great mid-level conference team by 2 TDs.

So, if anything, Jimbo is proving that he's Saban-like.

Have you ever seen saban drummed the way fsu just was? How many times have you seen that with a Miles coached team? Not many!

Yes.

In Saban's fifth and final year at LSU (2004), a year after winning the NC, Georgia rolled LSU 45-16.

In Saban's 3rd year at LSU, a year after winning the SEC title and a year before winning the NC, it lost 26-8 to VTech, 31-7 to Auburn, 31-0 to Alabama, and 35-20 to Texas.

LSU under Les just last year got rolled three games in a row after a 7-0 start. I seem to recall his defending NC team in '08 getting crushed by OM and UGA.

I agree with you. He won a national title. So did Miles.

He played in one more playoff getting embarrassed by Oregon. Miles went to one other BCS title game and was embarrassed.

I hated his offenses at LSU.

He is a good recruiter. So was Miles.
