Kiffin:
Best season at OM in decades.
High potential to make the playoffs.
Some potential to make the Championship.
Overall a good school and fanbase.
Wanted by at least 3 schools.

LSU:
Wants to make a hire before other coaches are off the table.
Wants Kiffin as first options BUT...see above.
Needs to make a great hire to turn the negative press we have been getting since the BK/SW debacle.
Has to be a hire that at minimum meets the expectations of high level donors.

Florida: I don't give one sh** about Florida.

So, what does LSU do?
Make an offer he cannot refuse and force him to leave behind the OM situation?
Take his "word" that after the season he agrees to principle on the LSU contract?
Keep playing the bidding war with OM and FL with no guaranteed outcome until the OM season is over?
Play the Kiffin / Sexton game for how long?
Move on and get the next best coach available for what LSU needs?

This is a sh** show! And I am glad I am not the one producing in it.

Easy. Have an internal timeline of when you would need your answer by that is reasonable for Kiffin and LSU. Communicate that to Kiffin. If that day comes and goes and Lane is still on the fence, pull the offer and go get Dillingham.

LSU is bigger than Lane Kiffin. If we've met all demands from his side and he still isn't convinced, then he doesn't really want to be here and that's ok.

It’s starting to become obvious that he’s bidding up LSU/FL and when he feels that’s it, he presents that number to OM and they cave to his demands.

And a bonus, you get a rival to waste time and lose out on potential coaches. Dude is the ultimate troll. He really gets what he deserves if he stays with OM. They’ve benefited from a down SEC. Let’s see if that continues.

Kiffin fatigue is rearing it's ugly head. I won't melt if/when we move on.

Starting to feel the same way at Ole Miss. Love everything he has done for us but this whole situation has really soured him with the fans, boosters and administration. If he stays, cool. If he leaves nobody will be crying.

It’s 10x worse than it was in 2022 when it was Auburn coming after him

$13M+ per year….at least. $100M guaranteed probably. Sounds horrible. Poor guy.
